PARACHINAR / MIRAMSHAH, Sept 27 Six suspected militants were killed and 11 others injured when two Isaf helicopter gunships intruded into Pakistani territory and carried out an attack in Mata Sanger area of Kurram on Monday morning.

The area is along the Afghan border adjacent to Paktia province. Afghan police officer Haqyar Khan said the action was taken after a group of militants attacked a base camp of Nato forces in Paktia and was fleeing to Kurram.

Officials of the political administration, however, said they had no information about the attack and were investigating the report.

Meanwhile, five suspected militants, one of them a foreigner, were killed and two others injured when a US drone fired two missiles in Khushali Turikhel area of Mirali tehsil.

The missiles hit a house in Tur Ghar, some 35km east of Miramshah.

It was the fourth drone attack in 24 hours. Seventeen people have been killed in the attacks.

Three suspected militants were killed and eight others injured when Pakistani helicopter gunships pounded militants' hideouts in Razmak's Lorha Panga area along the border between North and South Waziristan on Monday.

Meanwhile, North Waziristan's political agent Matahir Zeb rejected reports that 30 militants had been killed by Nato forces in Pakistani territory.
