KARACHI, March 3: The following localities would go dry on Tuesday under the weekly water-holiday:

Clifton, Gizri, Delhi Colony, Punjab Colony, Shireen Jinnah Colony, Bhutta Village, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, National Institute of Child Health and the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, Naval Dockyard, NORE-1 and GE Army installation.

Complaints of acute water shortage were also received from the residents of Bahadurabad No 3, Bangalore Town, Adamjee Nagar, Al-Hamra Society, Shabbirabad, Jinnah Cooperative Housing Society and North Karachi’s sectors 5-C-1 and 5-C-2.

CONTAMINATION: Over 100 houses in Gulistan-i-Jauhar’s Block 7 have been receiving contaminated water since Eid.

The are people complained that although they had lodged a number of complaints with the concerned officials, the fault has not yet been rectified.

Suspecting that sewage might have been seeping into the water line, they demanded of the City Nazim to direct the officials to rectify the fault without any further delay.
