LAHORE, March 2: Governor Khalid Maqbool urged the people on Sunday to take part in social welfare activities along with the government and NGOs to make future of the country bright.

He was speaking at the 14th SOS Fund Raising Walk which ended at the Governor’s House. The wife of the governor, Begum Rubina Khalid, and SOS President Mrs Surrayya Anwar besides hundreds of students of private schools were present. Many students donated money for the SOS village schoolchildren. Artistes from Raja Theatre Workshop and Lucky Irani Circus presented puppet and gymnastic shows to entertain the children.— Staff Reporter
