Punjab Games deferred

Published February 27, 2003

LAHORE, Feb 26: The 69th Punjab Games has been deferred for three days and now will be held from March 3 to 5 instead of Feb 28 to March 2.

The decision was taken on Wednesday in a meeting chaired by the chairman organising committee of the Games, Chaudhary Hafeez Akhtar Randhawa.

Later the Punjab Olympic Association secretary, Idrees Haider Khawaja, told journalists that the Met office has forecast heavy rains for Feb 28 and March 1 in Lahore and that forced the organisers to defer the Games for three days.
