KARACHI, Feb 26: The Government College for Women, Korangi No 4, won a Bait Bazi contest organized in connection with the students week of the St Joseph’s Government College for Women on Wednesday.

The NED University and the DHA College for Women remained second and third.

As many as ten colleges took part in the competition and each team consisted of two students.

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology, Dr Pirzada Qasim, was the chief guest. He praised the performance and the capabilities of the participants.

Dr Qasim also distributed trophy and prizes among the winners.

Prof Sehr Ansari of the KU Urdu Department, Razia Faseh Ahmed and Shahida Hassan were the judges.

Later, Dr Qasim, Sehr Ansari, Razia Faseh Ahmed, Shahida Hassan and Dr Tanveer Anjum, the Principal of the St Joseph’s College, recited their poems.—APP
