HYDERABAD, Nov 28: The controller of examinations, University of Sindh Jamshoro, announced on Wednesday that the first semester examination for the academic session 2001-2002 in all the departments of the University of Sindh would commence with effect from Nov 29 at 9:30am.
On the first day, the first paper will be of all final masters degree classes in all departments.
The university administration has set up 16 examination centres at the Allama I.I. Kazi campus, Jamshoro.
The examination wing has already provided admit cards of the students to the department concerned and teams have been appointed which will be available at the campus to attend to any problem of the students.
A committee of deans and senior professors will visit the examination centres to check the facilities and resolve any problem that might arise.
The controller of examinations, University of Sindh, has further announced that as per decision of the Academic Council of the university, the Medicine paper-I of MBBS final professional of annual examination 2001 will be reconducted only for the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS).
The candidates concerned have been asked to fill their examination forms by Dec 3 and submit it along with Rs530 as examination fee at the National Bank Ltd, LUMHS, Jamshoro branch. No examination forms will be accepted after the due date.
SAU: The controller of examinations, Sindh Agriculture University, Tando Jam, announced the results of B.Ed and M.Ed annual examinations 2000-2001.
DIWALI FUNCTION HELD: A function was organized at the Mehmood Garden by the Hindu Panchayat Hyderabad for celebrating Diwali the other day.
Noted artists Arshad Mehmood, the Benjamin Sisters, and Hanif Raja entertained the audience.
The president of the Hindu Panchayat Hyderabad, Engineer Ahuja S. Lal while addressing a gathering of about 2,000 Hindus assured that an effective Hindu Panchayat will continue to serve and provide Panchayat facilities to all the Hindu residents of Hyderabad without any discrimination.
He also congratulated Saman Das Kohistani on being elected as the first and the only Hindu member of the Chamber of Commerce, Hyderabad.
The social secretary of the Hindu Panchayat, Shanker Kumar Talreja dwelt at length on the aims and objectives of the Panchayat.
He announced three schemes launched for the poor amongst the Hindu community.
