KARACHI, Feb 25: Leader of the Burundi’s trade delegation, Ndikumasabo Hermenegilde has said that his country is ready to reciprocate in case the Pakistani government provides tariff concession on various products in order to foster trade between the two countries.

Talking to the members of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) on Tuesday, he invited Pakistani businessmen to invest in his country. He not only assured maximum incentives but said they would be accommodated in the zero-tax industrial zone, which was being established.

He said Burundi has entered into a trade exchange agreement with 12 countries in which no duty will be applied on import and export trade. This agreement will be implemented from 2004.

He showed keen interest in the joint ventures between the two countries in sectors like pharmaceuticals, textile processing and chemicals.
