NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Feb 24: The people including a large number of shopkeepers on Monday held a protest demonstration against Hesco for issuing inflated bills and electricity detection bills.

The shopkeepers, led by the president, Sarafa Association, Mohammad Rafique Pirzada, and leader of the General Shopkeepers Association, Qazi Abdul Ghafoor, started the demonstration from Shahi Bazaar.

The protesters burnt tyres and blocked the National Highway for an hour near the Tharoshah bus stop.

They complained that Hesco was issuing detection and inflated bills. They also complained that the officials were neither ready to accept their own mistakes nor ready to pay any attention to the complaints of the consumers.

The district coordination officer, Mohammad Naeem Malik, and the DPO, Mohammad Dawood Junejo, arrived at the spot and assured the protesters that their complaints would be conveyed to Hesco authorities.

PROTEST: Meanwhile, an employee of the food department, Dildar Lashari, held a protest outside the office of the XEN, Hesco, against being issued inflated bills.
