LAHORE, Feb 23: Interior Secretary Tasneem Noorani said on Sunday that the attack on a Karachi Imambargah was terrorism.

“This is terrorism as the government has overcome the menace of sectarianism to a greater extent,” he said while talking to reporters at the Soyem of Pakistan Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Mushaf Ali Mir and his wife at the Rangers House.

When asked whether some enemy country were behind the attack, Mr Noorani said this was terrorism and there could be any possibility.

He said like in the past years a foolproof security plan had been made by the federal government to avert any untoward incident during Muharram. The plan was being implemented by all provincial governments, he said.
