LAHORE, Feb 23: Acting Air Chief, Air Marshal Syed Qaiser Husain, said on Sunday that the only thing known about the PAF Fokker crash was that the plane had drifted and began descending earlier than it should have.

Talking to reporters at the Soyem of Air Marshal Mushaf and his wife at the Rangers House, he said: “We also know that the take-off and the weather in Kohat was fair. But it is yet to be determined whether the en route weather was fair or not,” he said.

Air Marshal Hussain said the debris of the crashed plane was lying intact at places where it fell and the investigation team was making drawings and taking pictures.

“The debris will be taken to Chaklala base after three or four days for detailed inspection,” he said.

He said the report of the inquiry being conducted by various agencies including PIA and Civil Aviation would be made public. “As the defence minister said we will go to the people with the report,” he said.
