SAHIWAL, Feb 22: A man, with the help of two others, strangled his brother and the latter’s wife and two daughters in the nearby Chak 65-AGD (Abdullahwala) here on Friday night.

According to police, Mohammad Ashfaq was often admonished by his elder brother Abdul Razaq for loafing around in the company of idlers.

Mr Ashfaq and his friends Mustafa and Iqbal allegedly strangled Abdul Razaq, the latter’s wife Mumtaz and daughters Sidra (4) and Sadaf (5).

The accused also tried to kill Mr Razzaq’s third daughter, seven-year-old Sadia, but she survived and was admitted to the hospital unconscious.

The Noor Shah police registered a case under Section 302 against the accused, who had escaped.
