ROME Nicolas Prost has his heart set on following in the Formula One footprints of his father, former world champion Alain - but not quite yet.
Prost junior was on Sunday crowned F3000 champion in the final race of the season at the Magione circuit near Perugia and spoke about his F1 dreams in Mondays edition of the Gazzetta dello Sport.
'All the cars my father drove have a place in my heart,' the 27-year-old who is aiming to drive on the A1 Grand Prix circuit in 2009, told the paper.
'I know Frank Williams, he has a real team. And McLaren, thats the team my father drove for most. But, like every driver, I dream of Ferrari, but I certainly dont want to drive for them just because Im called Prost, but because Ive done a good job.'
Alain Prost had two seasons at Ferrari in 1990 and 1991 but his four titles came with McLaren (1985, 1986, 1989) and Williams (1993).
