Four AJK ministers take oath

MUZAFFARABAD, Feb 21: Four Legislative Assembly members from the Muslim Conference were inducted into the AJK cabinet on Friday.

President Sardar Mohammad Anwar Khan administered oath to Raja Abdul Qayyum Khan from Muzaffarabad, Chaudhry Tariq Farooq from Bhimbher, Mallick Mohammad Nawaz from Kotli and Chaudhry Mohammad Aziz from Bagh, at the Presidency.

A notification stated that the food and cooperatives departments were allotted to Abdul Qayyum, revenue to Chaudhry Farooq, agriculture and animal husbandry to Mallick Nawaz and religious affairs and Auqaf to Chaudhry Aziz.

The induction has raised the cabinet’s strength to 12.

Education, the largest department, is still without a minister.
