KARACHI: JI appreciates French stance

KARACHI, Feb 19: Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi has appreciated the French stance on the Iraq crisis.

According to a JI press release issued here on Wednesday, a JI delegation led by its Karachi Amir, Dr Mairajul Hudda Siddiqui, met with French Consul General, Jeorge Devupos and paid tributes to French Chancellor Jacques Chirac on his bold stance.

The JI leader said that if the developed countries took such bold steps for protection of human rights, the world could be saved from destruction.

The Consul General said that France had expressed the sentiments of the intentional community. —APP
