LAHORE, Feb 18: A contempt of court petition against the State for not releasing the three members of Khwaja family despite the Lahore High Court’s orders is likely to be filed today (Wednesday).

Counsel for the petitioners, Hamid Khan, told newsmen that the petition would be filed before the LHC, as the court orders’ non-compliance was tantamount to contempt.

The counsel claimed that the jail authorities had refused to release Dr Khizar Ali, Dr Umar Karar and Muhammad Usman on Tuesday.
