SUKKUR, Feb 18: A group of armed men kidnapped four bulldozer operators of the engineering workshop, Khairpur, from the fields of the provincial minister of water and electricity, Pir Sadaruddin Shah Rashidi, near Pir-Jo-Goth, late Monday night.

They then gunned down two of them and released the remaining two.

The armed men raided the fields of the provincial minister and kidnapped the four operators — Bagh Ali Jagirani, Wali Mohammed Jagirani, Atta Hussain and Hassan Shaikh — while they were having their meal.

After getting away from the fields, they shot dead Bagh Ali Jagirani and Wali Mohammed Jagirani. They then released Atta Hussain and Hassan Shaikh.

The cause of the killing could not be ascertained till the filing of this report.

The police handed over the bodies to their relatives after postmortem. However, no FIR had been registered till the filing of this report.
