SARGODHA, Feb 17: The continuous drizzling since Sunday night has forced the Tehsil Municipal Administration to postpone the inaugural ceremony of Jashn-i-Baharan till Feb 19.

The inaugural ceremony was to be held on Monday.

The contractor has reportedly refused to take charge of the Mela Mandi Ground as DPO Zafar Iqbal has prohibited the tehsil administration for holding gambling and vulgar shows in the mela.

Similarly, District Nazim Malik Amjad Ali Noon has also set up a committee to strictly monitor the proceedings of Jashan-i-Baharan. He has assured the religious scholars that he would not allow gambling and magic shows.

Meanwhile, Saddar ASP Waqarul Hassan has warned the tehsil Nazim and the contractor that they would be rounded up if they allowed any illegal or immoral shows in the Jashn-i-Baharan.
