SIALKOT, Feb 16: At least 260,000 saplings will be planted during the spring tree plantation campaign in Sialkot and Narowal districts.

Official sources said here on Sunday that 60,000 saplings would be planted by the government departments while 170,000 saplings by the army. In addition, 30,000 saplings would be planted on government forests, they said.

The Forest department, they said, had made special arrangements for the provision of saplings and plants at cheap rates to the people.

The district Nazimeen of Sialkot and Narowal districts had urged the people to take active part in the spring tree plantation, they added.—APP
