DADU, Nov 27: The residents of Sita Road town are consuming unhygienic water for drinking, said the Nazim, union council Sita road town, Ali M. Soomro, while talking to newsmen on Tuesday.

He said that the government had neither released any fund for the development works nor the salaries of the employees of Sita Road town committee since the last three months.

He said that the water pipelines of the town were broken at various points as a result of which sewage was getting mixed with the water.

He said that due to consuming unhygienic water, a large number of citizens were suffering from various diseases.

He said that he had complained to the DCO, Dadu District Nazim, and the secretary, local government, through faxes and telegrams to release funds for repairing the water supply pumps and pipes and salaries of all employees but they had not taken any action as yet.

He said if the secretary did not release the funds and salaries of the employees within three days, the citizens, councillors, and employees of the union council Sita road and town committee Sita Road would launch a series of protests against the secretary and other senior officials.

BOY DIES: A six-year-old boy, Irfan, was crushed to death under the wheels of a car while he was crossing the Dadu-Mehar road, near Mehar on Tuesday.
