NGO launches anti-narcotics campaign

MINGORA, Feb 15: A Swat-based NGO, Awami Welfare Society, has launched an anti-narcotics campaign, initially in the Matta tehsil, and have started contacting influential people like religious scholars for support.

Syed Muhayuddin Bacha, chairman of the society, said here on Saturday that some of the people in the Matta sub- division who were involved in the narcotics business, are yet to be rounded up.

He said it was the social workers’ duty to fight eliminate such evils from society.
