KARACHI: Nazim visits BMU

KARACHI, Feb 15: The City Nazim, Naimatullah Khan, on Saturday visited Baqai Medical University.

On the occasion, the VC, Mr Fariduddin Baqai, briefed the Nazim about BMU’s various sections, Fatima hospital, and Baqai Cadet College.

He said university’s Fatima Hospital is providing free medical services to people out of humanitarian spirit while Jabla Baqai is the city’s only cadet college.

It was informed that various institutions are functioning at school level under the auspices of Baqai Medical University.

The Nazim announced that the city government would soon start construction of roads up to Baqai Cadet College while Gadap Town had started plantation of trees and other beautification works. He said the forest department would also set up a nursery for carrying out plantation in the area.

He observed that organisations, like BMU, are serving the cause of humanity which is a noble task.

He called upon the philanthropists to establish such institutions where facilities could be provided to people in the field of health and education.—APP
