Rs50m grant for women health project

Published November 28, 2001

MULTAN, Nov 27: Asian Development Bank (ADB) has allocated Rs50 million for the women health project in the district.

This was stated by district Nazim Shah Mahmood Qureshi while addressing union council Nazims and Naib Nazims in Aftar party here on Tuesday.

The Nazim said he had sought financial support from the World Bank and other donor agencies for the development of the district.

He maintained the rural areas were without basic facilities due to the neglect these were subject to.

The Nazim assured participants that he would pay surprise visits to markets to check quality and controlled prices of products during the month of Ramazan.

Punitive action would be taken against those government officials who were found negligent or misusing power, he concluded.—Nouman
