KARACHI: Nazim visits KKF camp

KARACHI, Feb. 14: City Nazim Naimatullah Khan has expressed satisfaction over the law and order situation in Karachi.

During his visit to the central camp of the Khidmat-i-Khalq Foundation in Azizabad, the Nazim met the senior deputy convener of MQM, Dr. Farooq Sattar, and deputy convener, Shiekh Liaquat Hussain, and discussed matters pertaining to the city situation.

He congratulated the MQM leaders, and said no incident of hide-snatching had been reported this year and every organisation collected hides peacefully, for which they deserved appreciation.

The Nazim and MQM leaders thanked each other for extending support. The Nazim expressed the hope that he would get support for maintaining peace in the city in future also.

Mr. Khan termed Karachi as the hub of country’s economy and said it was the duty of all representatives to pay attention to the problems faced by the people. He remained in the KKF camp for half-an-hour.

Earlier, the Nazim visited central camps of Dawat-i-Islami in Korangi and Al-Khidmat Welfare Society.

Leaders of Dawat-i-Islami and owners of leather factories thanked him for constructing road from Chamra Chowrangi to Industrial Area.

Nazim said that the city remained peaceful on Eidul Azha and the credit goes to the UC Nazims, Naib Nazims, councillors and all organizations.

The Nazim also visited Landhi, Korangi, Shah Faisal Colony and Jamshed Towns and reviewed the cleanliness arrangements.

On Thursday, the Nazim, with DCO Mir Hussain Ali, visited North Karachi, North Nazimabad Town, Gulberg, Liaquatabad, SITE and Keamari. On Wednesday, he visited Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Gadap, Jam Chakro landfill site and Surjani.—PPI
