KARACHI, Feb 14: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad has said that schedules of the public should be kept in consideration during construction of roads and other development works.

He was reviewing uplift works in North Nazimabad and North Karachi on Friday. The governor was accompanied by DCO Mir Hussain Ali, EDO (works) Brig Zaheer Qadri and others.

The Town Nazim apprised the governor of the ongoing developmental work on the five-star roundabout. He said the repair work, which included installation of traffic signals, had begun on Dec 30 and would complete by March at a cost of Rs15 million.

The governor said development works should be carried out in such a manner that a minimum number of citizens were affected.

He also reviewed the development work at Nagan chowrangi and construction of a road from Sakhi Hasan to the roundabout.

Meanwhile, Dr Ibad has said that because of cooperation and collective efforts, all phases of Eidul Azha passed off in a peaceful and conducive atmosphere.

He said positive results had been achieved with regard to maintenance of law and order and arrangements made for collection of hides.—PPI/APP
