TOBA TEK SINGH, Feb 10: Federal Interior Minister Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat has said there is no bar on the return of Benazir Bhutto to Pakistan.
Talking to newsmen at Kamalia on Monday, he said the decision of her arrest would be taken in accordance with the situation prevailing at the time of her arrival in the country.
He denied receiving any court notice, saying that the bank default case against him had been under trial for the last three years in NAB court.
The PPP Patriot needed few votes of MPAs for winning a Senate seat from Sindh which would be acquired with the cooperation of PML-Q, the minister claimed.
The federal government, he said, would ensure implementation on the new police order and if people had any complaint against police officers they should send him the proof so that action could be taken against them.
Meanwhile, speaking to a gathering at Mauza Mamdana village near Kamalia, he said the government would crush the elements who wanted to create anarchy in the country.
Mr Faisal said the procedure of recruitment through the public service commission was creating hurdles in the way of getting employment. In future, he said the jobs would be provided to the qualified youth from grade 11 to 16 through direct recruitment system strictly on merit basis.
He advised the defeated politicians to cooperate with the present democratic government for the larger national interest.
Earlier, the minister was welcomed at river Ravi on the Kamalia-Chichawatni Road by Haider Ali Khan Kharal, the son of PPP’s Khalid Ahmad Kharal. He was accompanied by district Nazim Chaudhry Muhammad Ashfaq, Pirmahal PPP president Talib Jafri advocate, PML-Q district president Sardar Saeed Anwar and others.
