Five policemen suspended

HYDERABAD, Feb 9: Five policemen of the Matiari police station have been suspended for keeping a businessman from Multan in wrongful confinement.

They were suspended on the orders of the District Police Officer, Hyderabad, A. D. Khwaja.

According to reports, officials of the investigation wing of the Matiari police station had picked up Fareed Ahmed Qureshi, a trader from Multan a few days ago and had held him in wrongful confinement at a private place.

The DPO, having gotten information in this regard, had asked the ASP, Latifabad, Mujahid Akbar Aziz to verify facts.

Later, the ASP had raided the Matiari police station and the private place and recovered Fareed Ahmed.

The ASP submitted his report to the DPO which led to the suspension of five police officials, including inspector Rasool Bux Siyal, ASI Photo Kalhoro, police constables Imam Bakhsh Jut, Aachar and Wahid Baksh.
