KARACHI, Feb 9: The secretary population welfare, reviewing the working of the department during the last six months, has expressed concern over the declining performance of the outlets in some districts.

Mushtaq Ali Memon instructed the concerned officials to accelerate their efforts for achieving the target set by the government.

On a complaint pertaining to shortage of staff, he added that soon all the vacant posts would be filled.

He stressed the need for promoting and strengthen the camping culture by improving the working of the mobile service units. He was informed that the vehicles of the department had been withheld by the district governments.

The secretary wanted details on the matter so as to take up the issue with higher authorities.

He also directed the officials to relocate the service outlets in the most deserving and appropriate places.—APP
