KARACHI, Feb 8: Day-care centres will be set up throughout the province to help working women dispense their duties with full concentration, said Sindh minister for population welfare and women development Dr Saeeda Malik on Saturday.
Speaking at an inter-collegiate Pakistan cultural dress show at the Raunaq-i-Islam Government College for Women, Kharadar, she said that working women’s concentration remained diverted at the working places as they left their children alone at homes.
“They can not work with full devotion which often results in termination of their jobs. After establishment of day-care centres, the working women will feel relaxed about their children and can work more responsibly and their jobs will be secured,” the minister added.
She told the students that they had to play contributory roles in development of the country. She expressed the wish to see the girl of today as Fatima Jinnah and Raana Liaquat Ali Khan of tomorrow.—PPI
