SUKKUR, May 8: Former hockey captain and Special Assistant to caretaker Sindh Chief Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Islahuddin Siddiqui visited Sukkur on Wednesday and said all hockey, football and cricket grounds of Sindh will be made operational very soon.

Islah visited the under construction ground at Government Boys Degree College, Sukkur and the People’s Hockey Stadium Railway Ground and directed Chief Engineer Buildings and other concerned staff to complete the playgrounds as soon as possible to allow the sport lovers and players to make use of them which would be a step towards formation of a healthy society in the region.

Islah further said that all facilities such as a proper stadium, gym, enclosures, washrooms will be provided at the play grounds.

Secretary Sports Siddique Memon on the occasion said that maximum facilities will be provided to promote sports activities in Sindh and announced that floodlights, players’ hostel and a gym will soon be inaugurated at People’s Hockey Stadium.
