DHAKA, Nov 26: Zimbabwe scored a seven-wicket win over Bangladesh in the day-night One-day International to make a clean sweep of the three-match series here Monday.

Zimbabwe overhauled a total of 215 in the last over, with notable contributions from opener Dion Ebrahim (84) and captain Stuart Carlisle (55 not out).

Ebrahim, who had slammed a fine 121 in the second match of the series on Sunday, hit 11 fours in his crucial innings of 130 balls.

He was involved in a 107-run first wicket partnership with Grant Flower (40), which put Zimbabwe on the path to victory.

Later, Carlisle saw the team to 219-3 in 49.1 overs with 55 off 92 balls, which included six fours.

Earlier, Bangladesh frittered away a bright start and were bowled out for 215 in 48.1 overs.

Fluent half-centuries by openers Javed Omar (54) and Al Sahariar (59) enabled Bangladesh to post 103 for the first wicket.

But nine batsmen fell in the space of 83 runs before the last-wicket pair of Mohammad Sharif and Mashrafe Mortaza hit a defiant 29.

Fast bowler Heath Streak was Zimbabwe’s most successful bowler with 3-26 from 9.1 economical overs. Spinners Douglas Marillier and Grant Flower claimed two wickets each.

Zimbabwe had won the first match at Chittagong by five wickets and the second at Dhaka by 42 runs.
