KARACHI, Feb 3: Five ships carrying containers and crude oil are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Iwato, Bunga Masdua, Dainty River to unload and load containers, Torm Eastern, to offload and load general cargo and Sorena to offload crude oil were berthed after the departure of six.

The ships, which departed included Jamila, Ocean Genius, Mercs Kirinda, Shirvan, Elona, and Load Star Grace, while Stefano Juliano, Count, Kota Waris, Iwato, Sorena and Dainty River are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side thanks to larger liquid tonnage. The total tonnage rose to 81,800 tons comprising 31,644 tons of export cargo including 25,650 tons of molasses and 50,156 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Al-Mariyah, Global Paramount, Sima Bahar and APL Dalian, with containers and Panos-G, with 65,000 tons of crude oil.
