Minister calls for afforestation

RAWALPINDI, Feb 2: The federal minister for information and media development, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, has stressed the need for massive afforestation to avert environmental pollution and asked the youth to play their role in creating awareness among the masses about fatal diseases, which can be controlled by adopting precautionary measures.

He expressed these views while speaking at a prize distribution ceremony held here in connection with environmental pollution on Sunday.—Our Reporter
