PESHAWAR: Senior leader of Awami National Party (ANP) Ghulam Ahmad Bilour has warned that he will charge an FIR against the president, the chief of army staff, the chief election commissioner and chief justice, if any member of his family or party worker is killed in further terrorist acts.

During a news conference in Peshawar, Bilour said he will take his party in to confidence about registering an FIR against President Asif Zardari, Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Army Chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kiyani and Election Commission of Pakistan and see the approval of the party's think-tank.

He said that an FIR will also be registered against political parties who will not condemn terrorist attacks against the ANP.

Bilour said that he and his family have done nothing wrong but are still being attacked and killed.

“I am a Muslim and reject the idea that secularism does not honor religion,” he said.

Bilour said Pakistan belongs to all, be it an ordinary Muslim or a mullah.

“I am not an atheist... I am a secular person like Maulana Hussain Ahmad Madani, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad who believed in respect for all religions and humanity. My prophet was Rehmatull Alamineen (mercy and kindness for the whole of humanity)," he said.

Bilour said the ANP has been under continuous attacks.

“If someone wants us to be out of the electoral process to pave way for forces who want to take this country into darkness that will not happen.

"Let me assure you we are not going to be afraid by such cowardly attacks. We will fight and never leave the ground open for them," he said.

Bilour along with Barrister Haroon Bilour, candidate of ANP for PK-3 and son of the slain leader Bashir Ahmad Bilour, narrowly escaped a suicide attack on Tuesday during an election campaign.
