ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Wednesday condemned violence and terror attacks targeting political leaders and political gatherings.

“This is a direct attack against the Pakistani nation and its democratic electoral process,” Imran Khan said and added that his party has zero tolerance for terrorism, which leads to killing of innocent Pakistanis, according to a statement issued by PTI central secretariat.

He demanded that all political parties and leaders must be provided with adequate security.

The PTI leader said that elections must be held on time to ensure that a strong leadership comes into power with the mandate of the people, so that the menace of terrorism can be tackled effectively.

Imran Khan said that it was the responsibility of the government and security forces to provide security for the political leadership of the country.
