KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s youth wing has come up with an innovative strategy to raise funds to finance its youth members to contest the upcoming general elections.

Ahmad Moeenuddin and Ali Mehdi of the PTI Youth Wing launched fundyourtsunami.com where blocks of pixels can be bought to colour an image on the website.

"The Pakistani youth has the talent, has the passion but lack resources the likes of which are enjoyed by other parties.

“The idea is to raise funds by selling blocks of pixels and colour an iconic black and white image that we have on the website. With each block, a person can leave their details along with their picture attached,” Mehdi explained.

The campaign is also aiming to set a record for the biggest fundraiser in social media history.

“‘Fund your tsunami' will be the biggest fund raising project in social media history, and a candidate for the Guinness Book of Records. Thanks to the support of Jahangir Tareen and Imran Khan, the youth is having their voice heard and policies implemented,” Moeenuddin said.
