Minister ready to prove adulthood

LAHORE, Jan 29: Many legislators burst into laughter on Wednesday as Education Minister Mian Imran Masood offered that he could take any “test” to prove that he was an “adult”.

The minister made the offer in response to some remarks by former PPP minister Syed Nazim Husain Shah.

Imran Masood was answering questions about his portfolio. He was being ‘punched’ by opposition legislators but he was finding it rather difficult to satisfy them.

The speaker was trying to help the minister out.

Realizing that the speaker should not have gone to the extent he was going, Nazim Shah said the minister himself was an adult, needing nobody’s help.

“Yes, I can take any test to prove my adulthood”, said the bearded young minister, caring little how the sexist remark would be taken by the fair sex.
