MINGORA, Jan 29: A member of the provincial assembly and leader of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal, Swat Muhammad Ameen, has said the government has approved Rs220 million for the construction work and provision of facilities at the Saidu Group of Teaching hospitals.

A casualty block and gynae ward is being constructed in the central hospital.

During his visit to the hospitals here on Wednesday, the MPA said the MMA government was sincere in solving the people’s problems at the earliest.

He said specialist doctors would be posted in all the hospitals with maximum facilities for the people.

He said the people themselves would feel a change in the system. The government wished to increase the literacy rate in the province and that was why it decided to offer free education up to the Matric level.

Separately, while talking to the authorities of the board of intermediate and secondary education (BISE), Saidu Sharif, he urged them to extend maximum cooperation to the government in the best interest of the people.

He assured them of the authorities’ help in the solution of the problems being faced by them on the board’s premises.
