
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Wednesday directed the federation to file para-wise comments on the awarding of licenses to some 450 CNG stations and sought relevant record of the stations.
This was directed by a three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry during the hearing of a suo moto notice of awarding licenses to illegal CNG stations. The apex court had taken action on a news report that some 450 CNG stations were awarded licenses illegally.
The bench also directed to present all the relevant record showing the details of the permission granted to set up these CNG stations on the next date of hearing.
Later, the bench adjourned further hearing to April 10.
