ISLAMABAD, April 2: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) finalised on Tuesday the names of its candidates in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for contesting the upcoming elections.

The PTI candidates will contest elections for all the 35 National Assembly seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa except three seats -- NA-18, NA-23 and NA-31.

The party chief, Imran Khan, has himself decided to contest polls from NA-1, Peshawar-1 constituency. PTI, however, has given no reason for not fielding candidates in the three National Assembly constituencies in the province. Nobody from the party’s media wing was available for comments.

Out of 99 general seats of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, PTI has finalised candidates for 86 seats. However, the party hasn’t awarded tickets to anyone in PK-1, PK-42, PK-43, PK-46, PK-47, PK-48, PK-51, PK-53, PK-68, PK-75, PK-80, PK-88 and PK-96 constituencies.
