KARACHI, Jan 29: A resolution passed by the All Parties Conference here on Wednesday criticized the United States for its discriminatory treatment of Pakistanis in the US, the controversial statement of its ambassador and the planned attack on Iraq.

The conference, organized by the Jamaat-i-Islami at its head office Idara Noor-i-Haq, was presided over by the party’s deputy chief, Prof Ghafoor Ahmed.

Critisizing the US ambassador’s statement regarding Pakistani “infiltration” into Kashmir, the resolution said that besides other things the remarks were against diplomatic etiquette.

The conference condemned the US government for compelling the Pakistanis to register themselves with the US immigration authorities.

The resolution urged the US citizens to pressure their government to withdraw the policy of registering foreign immigrants.

The APC demanded that the Pakistan government review its policy and press the United States to withdraw its registration policy about Pakistanis residing there.

Moreover, the US ambassador be told to submit an apology for her statement, or else leave Pakistan. — PPI
