Warrants for arrest of defaulters

GUJRANWALA, Jan 28: The banking court No 1 issued warrants of arrest for 12 defaulters and directed the police to produce them before the court on the next hearing.

The defaulters, including industrialists of Sialkot and Gujranwala, owe hundreds of thousands of rupees to various banks.

The court also directed that the property of a defaulter, Mohammad Umer, of Sialkot should be auctioned.

LIFE SENTENCE: The additional district and sessions judge awarded life term with a fine of Rs20,000 to a rapist here on Tuesday.

Babar will have to undergo another six months imprisonment if he fails to pay the fine.

According to the prosecution, the convict had kidnapped and raped a schoolgirl of Aulakh Bhaiki on May 8, 2000.
