PESHAWAR, Jan 28: The Afghan government set free a Pakistani prisoner from Kabul prison and handed him over to border security forces at the Torkham checkpoint on Monday.
Official sources said Abdul Mannan, a resident of Lahore, was arrested at Kabul some eight months back. They said Mannan had crossed into Afghanistan without legal papers.
Officials said Mannan was shifted to a lockup in Landi Kotal, Khyber Agency. An FIR was registered against him under the Passport Act.
