SUKKUR: The Khoso tribesmen took out a procession in Jacobabad on Sunday to celebrate nomination of retired Justice Mir Hazar Khan Khoso as caretaker prime minister.

The procession — led by former union council nazim Ghulam Sabir Khoso, Muqadam Saeed Khan Khoso and other elders of the tribe — marched on different roads and culminated in a public meeting outside the press club.

Speaking on the occasion, Ghulam Sabir said the nomination conveyed a positive message to the people of Balochistan.

Saeed Khan praised Mir Hazar Khan for his integrity and the services he had rendered for people, and expressed hope that he would work as caretaker premier with the same spirit.

Meanwhile, reports reaching said that people of Balochistan, particularly those of the Jaffarabad belt, were happy with the designation of Mr Khoso as prime minister.

As soon as television channels telecast the ECP’s decision people of Jaffarabad came out of their houses to express their joy. They raised slogans in favour of Mr Khoso and the ECP.
