LONDON, Jan 27: Manchester United and Arsenal will meet in the outstanding tie of the FA Cup fifth round after being drawn to play each other on Monday,

The Premier League’s top two sides will meet at Old Trafford on Feb 15 or 16 in their first clash in the competition since Manchester United won an epic replayed semifinal 2-1 at Villa Park in 1999, which featured a dazzling extra-time solo-goal winner from Ryan Giggs.

It will be their 10th meeting in the competition with the spoils shared in their previous nine encounters. Both clubs have won four times and drawn once.

Their most famous clash came in the 1979 FA Cup final which Arsenal won 3-2 after Manchester United pulled back a 2-0 deficit in the last five minutes, only for Arsenal to score a last-minute winner.

Manchester United were the last team to beat Arsenal when they won their Premier League clash 2-0 at Old Trafford on Dec 7.
