PML-N for APC on national issues

Published January 28, 2003

LAHORE, Jan 27: Punjab PML-N secretary-general Khwaja Saad Rafiq on Monday demanded the government call an all-party conference to discuss problems facing the country as well as the Ummat.

Bogus cases against exiled leaders Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto should be withdrawn and they be invited to the moot as well, he said in a statement.

He said the prime minister was the only person in a position to convince Gen Musharraf that the exiled leaders should be allowed to return home.

Meanwhile, PML faction led by Ijaz Mominji said in a statement on Monday that his party would hold an APC against Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan on Feb 17.
