NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Jan 25: A thief was killed in an exchange of fire with villagers in the Ranjho Khan Naich village, near Mithiani, here on Saturday.

His two accomplices escaped.

Three thieves were breaking locks of a shop in the village when Sajan Naich, the owner of a house adjacent to the shop, woke up and raised alarm.

They opened fire on villagers who arrived after hearing Sajan’s shouts.
