Two FIRs against unknown tribesmen

RAJANPUR, Jan 25: Shahwali police have registered cases against unknown people for damaging the Sui-Guddu gas pipeline and Kashmor-Dera Bugti water supply line.

Both the FIRs have been lodged under the anti-terrorism act by the PPL. One FIR said that unknown people damaged 200 feet long gas pipeline and caused a Rs one million loss.

Another FIR said unidentified tribesmen blown up the Kashmor-Dera Bugti water supply line at 12km. It carries water to the Sui gas station and 40,000 population in Dera Bugti.

Meanwhile, newly-appointed DCO Samiulla Abid visited affected sites and reviewed security arrangements which have been beefed up.

He said Punjab police, the border military police and rangers had been deployed in the trouble areas. Dera Bugti administration had been requested to take similar measures, he said.
