KARACHI, March 13: Five men, including a teenager and a drug peddler, were killed across the city on Wednesday.

Noor Zaman, 26, said to be a drug dealer, was shot dead in Korangi. Police said the incident took place in the old Burmese Colony near Darul Uloom, where unknown suspects riding a motorcycle targeted the victim, killing him on the spot.

Police said the victim was wanted in several cases of drug peddling in the Korangi Industrial Area and Zaman Town police stations.

The body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities.

Young man found dead

The bullet-riddled body of a young man was found near the Sarafa Bazaar, within the remit of the Kharadar police station, on Wednesday morning, police said.

According to a duty officer at the Kharadar police station, the victim had six bullet wounds and it appeared that the body had been dumped there after the killing since no spent bullet casings were found at the scene.

The police shifted the body to the Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities.

Man killed in Lyari

A young man was killed by unknown suspects in Lyari on Wednesday.

Police said the incident took place on Shah Abdul Latif Road, within the remit of the Kalri police station, where gunmen riding a motorcycle targeted 25-year-old Mohammad Baloch, who was also riding a bike.

The body was taken to the CHK, where the victim’s relatives took it away without allowing medico-legal formalities to be carried out.

Police suspected that the killing was linked to the gang rivalry in Lyari.

Body found with torture marks

The body of yet another young man was found from in the Soldier Bazaar area on Wednesday.

Police said that the body was dumped by unidentified suspects from a car.

The victim was identified as 26-year-old Mohammad Iqbal. The victim’s throat had been slit and body bore torture marks, police said, adding that he was a resident of Lyari’s Juna Masjid area.

The body was shifted to CHK for medico-legal formalities.

Teenage boy

The body of a 15-year-old boy was found near Hijrat Colony, within the remit of the Jackson police station, on Wednesday.

The victim was identified as Mohammad Hasan, a resident of Hijrat Colony, said the police, adding that the body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities.

The police said the victim had strangulation marks on his neck. They suspected the victim had also been sexually abused. His postmortem examination report was withheld.
