Actor and radio presenter Sohail Hashmi has begun hosting a chat show on PTV World. The guests on a couple of his initial programmes were actors Shamoon Abbasi and Sania Saeed. Watching Sohail H anchoring a talk show felt like as if the chap’s trying way too hard to make an impression. He gesticulates a lot, so much so that sometimes it feels that might fall off his chair.

Part of the problem lies with his guests. So far those who have appeared on his show are pretty serious-minded characters and Sohail H strives to explore their lighter side and does not succeed to a reasonable extent. If he can hold back a little and treat the guests accordingly, things might improve in the forthcoming episodes.
