QUETTA: The Balochistan government has expressed serious concern over non-release of funds by the centre for development projects launched by the federal government in the province.

A meeting held here on Friday with Chief Secretary Babar Yaqoob Fateh Mohammad in the chair decided that a team of senior officials would visit Islamabad and take up the issue with the officials of the Planning Commission and Finance Division.

The meeting noted that funds were needed for construction of highways and Sariab Railway Crossing flyover and rehabilitation of flood-affected people of the province.
